Salmon is such a versatile fish, and it works so well with many different cooking methods. This week’s Recipe Roundup: Salmon celebrates this beautiful seafood.


Growing up I don’t recall ever eating salmon. I don’t think my parents cooked it, so since they didn’t make it, I didn’t eat it. And I have this really weird thing that if I didn’t eat it as a kid, I have this idea that I don’t like it. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I justified it to myself. Then one weekend I was visiting my friend Denise at the beach, and she grilled salmon for dinner, with nothing more than McCormick steak seasoning. I was instantly hooked, and now I eat salmon almost weekly. What I love is because it’s such a sturdy, meaty fish, it is extremely versatile and you can cook it in dozens of different ways.
