A beautiful hotel property in the heart of South Beach, the Loews Miami Beach Hotel is a fabulous destination for an event or just relaxation.
This is a sponsored post. I received complimentary amenities during my stay, but the opinions are mine alone.
Miami is one of my favorite cities to visit. There’s nothing quite like the vibe, the energy, and the beautiful people in Miami and South Beach. So I was very excited for the opportunity to share my recent experience at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
The Loews Miami Beach Hotel is a beachfront property in the heart of town. The hotel is comprised of 2 towers, with 790 guestrooms, including 65 suites. The main tower opened as a brand-new structure in 1998. The second tower is the restored St. Moritz Hotel, which originally opened in 1939.
My last visit to Miami was in 2008, and we stayed at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The hotel recently underwent a $50 million renovation. The work began about a year ago, and renovations were complete in March, just in time for the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. A few of the renovation highlights include:
- renovated guest rooms and suites
- brand new pool deck and jacuzzi
- renovated function space
- Bar Collins bar and restaurant just off the main lobby
Traveling with kids can be stressful, and it can be hard to keep them entertained in a hotel. The Loews Loves Kids program makes kids feel welcome and engaged from the moment they arrive:
- Children receive a welcome gift at check-in
- Preston’s Market and the poolside Nautilus Restaurant feature kid’s menus
- Kids can participate in SoBe Kid’s Camp that features daily activities and projects
- Teens and Tweens receive age-appropriate welcome amenities, and have access to age-appropriate activities as well.
Happy kids means happy and relaxed parents! I love that the Loews Miami Beach Hotel does so much to create a family-friendly experience for their guests.
The Loews Miami Beach Hotel is also pet-friendly. For a one-time fee, pets of all sizes are welcome in the guest rooms.
My flight was scheduled to land in Miami at 6:30PM, and I had dinner plans with friends at 8pm. However, a broken plane and a 5-hour delay in Dallas ruined that, and I finally got to the hotel at 1:00AM. Definitely not what I had in mind. Thank goodness I remembered to call the hotel to alert them of my delay, so they wouldn’t cancel my room. Instead, I encountered a smooth check-in and this beautiful welcome amenity in my room
All I wanted to do when I got into my room was go to sleep, so I waited until the next morning to try some of everything. And of course, we enjoyed the bottle of prosecco.
I also had VIP manager for the duration of my stay. This dedicated service is a luxury I didn’t expect; however, I certainly appreciated it. When the front desk and concierge were busy, I could visit with my VIP manager in a private room. All of the staff I encountered during my stay were friendly and accommodating. The food and beverage staff on site for our conference did a great job, and went out of their way to take care of our needs.
LOEWS MIAMI BEACH HOTEL PROPERTY & AMENITIES
I stayed in the main tower, on the 11th floor. My room faced the St. Moritz tower, but all I had to do was turn my head for stunning views
There is beautiful artwork throughout the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, including work featured by local artists. The artwork is in the guestrooms, the main lobby, and in Preston’s Market.
IN-ROOM AMENITIES
The rooms are quite spacious, and the light colors throughout remind me of a beach house. The light fixtures have two levels of brightness, something I’ve never seen before in a hotel. The desk and bedside tables have plenty of outlets and USB ports, making it very convenient for a family with multiple electronics. Each morning I sat out on my balcony to enjoy a little quiet time before my day began. One of my favorite amenities is the modern door notification system. No more hang tags that fall off of the door handle!
At most full-service hotel properties, you pay extra for in-room wi-fi access. It took me until the next-to-last day to realize that the resort fee at the Loews Miami Beach resort includes complimentary wi-fi access. My friend Blair had issues with the wi-fi in the St. Moritz tower, but once I logged in I didn’t experience any problems at all. We also had daily access to the fitness center, but I took advantage of the beach and worked out there instead.
HOTEL PROPERTY
Between the hotel towers is a long, beautiful stone staircase leading to the pool area. The pool is the focal point, with lots of lounge chairs for hotel guests to use. Pool staff and security are on site during the day, providing towels, food and beverage service, and assistance for guests who need it.
The Loews Miami Beach hotel offers several exclusive poolside experiences:
- Adult cabanas at the far end of the pool
- SOAK Daybeds and private cabanas to the right of the pool
Mike and I spent Sunday afternoon in a SOAK Daybed. Each daybed holds two guests, and includes complimentary fruit-infused water, cold towels, food and beverage for purchase, a private jaccuzzi, and a dedicated server. The daybeds can raise and lower, and also have a raiseable shade. The only catch…the shade is all in one, so you have to both want shade or both want sun. Mike won out on complete sun. We also received a complimentary fruit tray
The daybed was fabulous, and our server Dilly was so friendly and accommodating. The only downside? I forgot about that Miami sun. That sun that gave me a bad sunburn, because we were out there for hours.
The cabanas provide up to 6 guests with a private, air conditioned space. Each cabana also has a flat-screen TV and shower. I had originally wanted a cabana, but the daybed fit our needs perfectly.
FLAVOR MIAMI
Miami has such a diverse culture, with residents and visitors from all over the world. The Loews Miami Beach Hotel captures that diversity with Flavor Miami. The Flavor Miami concept showcases the cuisine and culture of the state of Florida, and is evident throughout all the dining facilities on property. The Loews Miami Beach Hotel currently partners with 15 food and beverage purveyors, including:
- Panther Coffee at Miami Joe’s
- Azucar Ice Cream Company at Miami Joe’s
- Bread by Zak the Baker
- Craft beers by Wynnwood Brewing Company at Bar Collins, Lure Fishbar and Nautilus
Miami Joe’s Coffee Co. is the coffee bar and grab-and-go shop in the main lobby of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Between the in-room Keurig coffee makers and coffee service each morning during the conference, I didn’t need to buy any coffee. However, for guests who want specialty coffee drinks, Miami Joe’s is very convenient. The grab-and-go service includes cold items and an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. You can also purchase ice cream and bagged snacks.
I had such a great overall experience at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. I want to return for a true vacation, and also spend more time exploring the local Miami area.

You are so right about the great location. The renovations changed some of the look, but it's still an awesome hotel
