Servings: 1 people

  • 2 thick-cut, bone-in pork chops
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic, smashed
  • 1/2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons California Fig Spread (I use Balsamic Pepper flavor)
  • 2 Tablespoons raw honey
  • salt and pepper, for seasoning

  • Season both sides of pork chops with salt & pepper. Smear roasted garlic on both sides of pork chops. Let sit for 15 minutes
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Spray grates with non-stick spray, so the pork doesn't stick
  • In skillet over medium heat, add butter. When butter melts, add pork chops. Sear pork chops for about 2 minutes per side
  • Transfer pork chops to grill. I put the chops over direct flame. Close cover, and allow to grill for 5 minutes. Flip chops, and allow to to grill for another 5 minutes
  • While pork chops grill, add honey and fig spread to microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 15-20 seconds, or until fig spread mixes easily. Combine well. Don't warm mix too far ahead, or it will get thick again
  • Spread glaze onto pork chops, and grill for 3 minutes. Flip chops, spread glaze on other side, and grill for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove pork chops from heat, and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. Enjoy!
